Dr. Dar is working as an Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Environmental Science at Govt. Degree College Kulgam, Higher Education Department, Govt. of J&K since 13-12-2023. Previously, he was posted at Govt. Sri Pratap College, Srinagar from 21-02-2017 to 12-12-2023 where he steered the college from Grade A to A+ in NAAC. He has also published many research articles (including papers, books, and book chapters) in reputed, referred international and national journals and have more than 80 papers (h-index 18; i-index 25; total citation >1090) in international and national journals of repute (Science of Total Environemnt Impact Factor=10.753 & Chemosphere Impact Factor= 8.943) and a number of books with international publishers (Springer, Elsevier, CRC Press Taylor and Francis, Apple Academic Press, John Wiley, IGI Global) to his credit. Previously, he also served as Nodal officer for interdisciplinary research Centre/HUB for Biological Science in Sri Pratap College, Cluster University Srinagar.
